Gallagher and I recently made the move from DC to Tallahassee, FL. It's been an interesting time for sure, to say the least. It's not only our first experience living together, but also moving to a new city together.

We both knew we wanted to move out of DC as soon as we could; however, were we were moving was yet to be determined. We had a couple of places in mind, i.e. Charleston, Savannah, Jacksonville, Wilmington, so we decided to take a road trip to visit each one.  Gally had mentioned Tallahassee, to which I was initially opposed to. I had lived there for Undergrad and thought of it only as a "college town" or  better known as "TallaTrashy."

Charleston and Savannah had lots to offer, but we decided that it wasn't exactly what we were looking for. Jacksonville (no offense to those who live and love Jax) was way too spread-out and overly developed. While visiting Wilmington with friends, we decided to opt out after a series of events took place. One involving us getting harassed by  a group of "locals" who made it clear they didn't we belonged there. Let's just say that after several non-contact, drunken punches were thrown between our friend, Mark, and two guys from the opposing group, we decided we best be getting out of this place.

On our drive home to DC, I was feeling a little despaired because none of the places we had envisioned were working out! Gally offered up Tally for the millionth time and it suddenly became clear at that moment that it was the place we were meant to be.

So here we are...... :)
